1. Items of Personal Information Collected and Collection Methods

ILOVEKOREA (the “Company”) collects the minimum personal information necessary to provide its services, as set forth below.

  • Required items: email address, password (for email sign-up), name
  • Upon mobile phone identity verification: mobile phone number, verification records
  • Optional items: profile photo, nationality, visa type, visa expiration date, phone number, preferred language
  • When creating a resume: photo, name, date of birth, nationality, visa type, contact information, address, education, work experience, skills, language proficiency, self-introduction, and other information entered by the user
  • When submitting a consultation inquiry (real estate, automobiles, hospitals, visas, labor, remittance, etc.): contact information, details of the inquiry, and desired conditions (region, price, etc.)
  • Automatically collected items: access IP address, cookies, service usage records, device information, access logs, and device push token upon consent to receive push notifications
  • When signing up via Google OAuth: the Google account's email, name, and profile photo URL

2. Purposes of Use of Personal Information

  • Member identification, confirmation of intent to register, and mobile phone identity verification
  • Provision of services such as job seeking, merchant, and visa consultation services
  • Job matching (providing employers with access to resumes when users apply to job postings)
  • Receipt of consultation inquiries and forwarding to merchants or consultation staff in the relevant field
  • Provision of automatic translation of content such as posts, chats, and resumes
  • Sending notifications (including push notifications), delivering announcements, handling complaints, and providing customer support
  • Management of point accrual and use, and prevention of fraudulent use
  • Service improvement and development of new features
  • Fulfillment of obligations under applicable laws

3. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information

Personal information is retained until membership withdrawal and is destroyed without delay upon a withdrawal request. However, where retention is required under applicable laws, the information is retained for the relevant period.

  • Records of contracts and withdrawal of subscription under the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (Korea): 5 years
  • Records of payment and supply of goods under the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (Korea): 5 years
  • Access records under the Protection of Communications Secrets Act (Korea): 3 months
  • Withdrawal records for the 30-day re-registration restriction and abuse prevention (one-way hash of the email address, masked email address, withdrawal reason): until the purpose is achieved

4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Company does not provide personal information to third parties without the user's consent. However, in the following cases where the user has made a direct request, information is provided to the extent necessary for the provision of services.

  • When applying to a job posting: resume information is provided to the employer who registered the posting
  • When submitting a consultation inquiry (real estate, automobiles, hospitals, visas, etc.): contact information and inquiry details are provided to the merchant or consultation staff in the relevant field for the purpose of handling the inquiry
  • Where required by law or upon a lawful request from an investigative authority

5. Outsourcing of Processing

The Company outsources the processing of personal information to the following companies in order to provide its services.

  • Supabase Inc. — member authentication and database hosting
  • Vercel Inc. — web service hosting
  • Google LLC — OAuth login service
  • Google LLC — automatic content translation (Cloud Translation API)
  • SOLAPI — sending of mobile phone identity verification text messages (SMS)
  • Kakao Corp. — address search and map services

6. Rights of Users

Users may at any time request to access, correct, delete, or suspend the processing of their personal information. You may make changes directly on the profile edit page or submit a request to the contact below.

7. Procedures and Methods for Destruction of Personal Information

When the retention period of personal information has elapsed or the purpose of processing has been achieved, the relevant information is destroyed without delay. Electronic files are permanently deleted using methods that make recovery impossible, and paper documents are shredded or incinerated.

8. Operation and Refusal of Cookies

The Company uses cookies to maintain login sessions and improve its services. Users may refuse the storage of cookies through their browser settings; however, in such cases, the use of some services may be restricted.
